  1. PowerLisp Supplemental Documentation

  3. In response to many users' requests for more documentation,
  4. I am making available an expanded documentation package for 
  5. PowerLisp 2.0. It can be installed by unstuffing the Stuffit Lite
  6. archive, and placing the Documentation folder that gets created
  7. into the PowerLisp 2.0 ƒ folder. You can just let it replace
  8. the existing folder, as it contains copies of the PowerLisp docs
  9. which already exist there.

  11. The supplemental documentation included in this package is
  12. formatted specifically for use with PowerLisp 2.0. It is included
  13. for your use and convenience, but is not officially part of the
  14. PowerLisp package. In particular, it includes all the text of the
  15. reference book Common Lisp the Language 2nd Edition by 
  16. Guy L. Steele Jr.

  18. The electronic version of this book has been placed on the internet,
  19. and made available in a number of different formats. My understanding
  20. is that electronic distribution of this work is OK as long as
  21. the attached Digital Press catalog and readme files are included.
  22. This book is copyrighted by Digital Press, and payments made to register 
  23. PowerLisp in no way convey any rights regarding usage of the
  24. electronic version of Common Lisp the Language 2nd Edition.

  26. Having said that, I think you will find the integration of 
  27. Common Lisp the Language 2nd Edition to be very valuable when
  28. using PowerLisp 2.0. It takes a little longer to start up, as the
  29. menu hierarchy needs to be built and index read, but I recommend it
  30. highly.
